Why I started Growthr

Before Growthr I was the first growth hire at Truebill, which I joined at Series A and helped scale to 2.5M members before Rocket Companies acquired it for $1.3B.

Throughout my career I kept seeing the same problems with agencies. The agency sat outside the company and found out about product changes after they shipped. It had signed more clients than its senior people could serve. Decisions came from opinion because nobody had set up the measurement. And it covered one piece of the funnel, so when the real problem was somewhere else, nobody owned it.

These problems are hard to fix inside an agency that is already built around them, so I started a new one.

Four agency problems, and what we do about each

Working from the outside

An outside agency hears about a pricing test or an onboarding change after it ships. We join your Slack, your standups, and your tools, so we hear about it when your own team does, and we're here whenever you need us. How the embedded model works.

More clients than the team can handle

The common pattern is that senior people pitch, then the account goes to someone junior who is splitting the week across too many clients. We take on a limited number of new clients each quarter, which keeps the list short enough that the people who scope your work are the people who do it.

Decisions made without data

A monthly slide deck arrives too late to change a budget. We set up attribution and analytics as part of the engagement, and budget and creative decisions come from those numbers. You see them live in your dashboard, and we review them with you every week. See the data dashboard.

One piece of the funnel

A media buyer who can't touch the creative, the landing page, or the lifecycle emails can only fix the ad. Our team covers paid media, creative, analytics, conversion, product strategy, and AI engineering, so we can fix the problem wherever it sits.

Who we work with

We work with B2C and B2B companies in any vertical. Fintech is where we started and where the proof runs deepest, and the rest of the work is on the work page.

B2C

Consumer fintech, apps, music, gaming, CPG, and DTC, built on paid-social acquisition, creative testing, and short-form distribution. Work includes Truebill, StellarFi, Trim, Chime, Rocket Money, OVO × Keinemusik, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive, and SaverLife campaigns with JPMorgan Chase, Mastercard, and Wells Fargo.

B2B

Enterprise technology, financial services, and SaaS, built on account-based marketing, demand generation, CRM-native attribution, and pipeline reporting. Growthr has run ABM, lead generation, and brand awareness campaigns for Goldman Sachs, Experian, Prudential, and DXC. Our team has also run programs for AWS, Intel, Cisco, NetApp, Slack, and Qlik. See the B2B page for how that work runs.

What we sell and what it costs

The main engagement is the embedded team: paid media, creative, analytics, and growth strategy for $10,000 a month plus 10% of managed media spend. Below about $20,000 a month in media spend the retainer usually isn't the right fit, and I'll say so on the first call.

Everything else is sold on its own: Clipper clipping campaigns, the SEO and GEO ladder, branding, web, email and lifecycle, content, AI and data builds, and music marketing. If you want an hour with me before any of that, advisory calls are $250.

The full list is on services, the numbers are on pricing (and in plain markdown at /pricing.md), and this guide compares an embedded team with a traditional agency and an in-house hire.

Where we are, and what else I build

Growthr is based in San Francisco with a fully remote team, and we work with clients across the United States and internationally. More about me is at seangarschi.com.

I also build our interactive web projects under Growthr Labs, including the browser-based Kanye "Runaway" MPC and the MPC series, which drew 450K+ plays from 80K+ players and 5,000+ hours of play time in their first four months.
