TikTok money calculator
Platform payouts per view are small, so the brand deal line is usually the one that decides your year.
Creator Rewards counts only views on videos over a minute that meet its eligibility rules.
Your figure from the TikTok creator dashboard. Payouts per thousand views sit far below YouTube's.
Where the money comes from
For most accounts the platform payout is the smaller share. If yours is not, you are either enormous or underpricing your brand deals.
Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is stored.
How it works
Platform payout = qualified views divided by 1,000, times RPM. Only views meeting the Creator Rewards rules count, which for most accounts is a fraction of total views.
TikTok's per-view economics are far weaker than YouTube's. A million views can be worth a few hundred dollars, where the same million on long-form YouTube might be worth several thousand.
That gap is why TikTok income is mostly brand deals, affiliate links and TikTok Shop commission. The split chart shows which side of that line you are on.
If you are a brand rather than a creator, this is the quickest sanity check on a quoted sponsorship fee: work out what the same reach would cost you in paid media first.
Worked example
An account gets 2,000,000 qualified views a month at a $0.60 RPM. 2,000,000 divided by 1,000 is 2,000, times $0.60 gives $1,200 from the platform. One $2,500 brand deal takes the month to $3,700, and drops the platform's share of income to 32%.
Common questions
What RPM does TikTok actually pay?
It varies by audience country, video length and watch time, and changes as the program's rules change. Use your own figure from the creator dashboard rather than one from an article, which dates quickly.
Which views count toward Creator Rewards?
Views on videos over a minute long that meet TikTok's eligibility and originality rules, from regions where the program operates. Short videos and reposted content earn nothing.
How much should I charge for a sponsored post?
Price on engaged audience rather than follower count, and compare against what the brand would pay to reach the same people through ads. The engagement rate calculator gives you the first half of that argument.
Does TikTok Shop pay more than Creator Rewards?
For accounts that sell well, usually yes, because commission scales with sales rather than views. It depends far more on product fit than on reach.
