Book a Call

What I do at Growthr

I started Growthr in 2021. We are an embedded growth agency based in San Francisco with a fully remote team: we join our clients' teams and run paid media, creative, analytics, product strategy, and AI engineering as one unit.

Day to day I scope the engagements, sit in the weekly reviews, and stay close enough to the media and creative to have an opinion about both. I take the first call on every new account, which is also the call where I say no if the numbers don't work. Below roughly $20,000 a month in media spend, the retainer is usually the wrong shape and I'll tell you that rather than sell it.

Outside the client work I build our interactive projects under Growthr Labs, and I still shoot photo and video.

What I've built

Browser instruments, internal tools, and the free scanners we publish. Most of it started as a way to test an idea about distribution.

The interactive MPC series

Browser-playable MPCs built from Kanye West, Travis Scott, and Daft Punk samples, with keyboard, mouse, or hand tracking and no install. The Runaway MPC and the wider MPC series drew 450K+ plays from 80K+ players and 5,000+ hours of play time in their first four months.

Growthr Labs

The home for the interactive work, including the Drake Iceman experience and the Ye tour globe. Each one is an instrument or a world built in the browser and engineered so that using it produces something worth posting. See Labs.

Free AI-visibility tools

The llms.txt generator and the agent-readability scanners behind our research, which check whether AI assistants can actually read a site. The same checks run inside the SEO and GEO audit.

Clipper

Our clipping product: short-form distribution paid per verified view, run through a creator marketplace rather than one-by-one partnerships. How Clipper works.

Before Growthr

I was the first growth hire at Truebill, which I joined at Series A and helped scale to 2.5 million members before Rocket Companies acquired it for $1.3 billion. That is where the fintech work started, and it is still where our proof runs deepest: StellarFi, Trim, Chime, Rocket Money, and SaverLife campaigns with JPMorgan Chase, Mastercard, and Wells Fargo.

The creative side ran in parallel and predates the agency. I shoot photo and video and take on design, fashion, branding, and creative direction; that work has touched Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Virgil Abloh, Drake, Kanye West, OVO, and Keinemusik. On the music side we have driven 1B+ social views and multiple Beatport #1s, including the OVO and Keinemusik campaign. I also DJ and run sun(set), an afro and melodic house event.

More of the personal work, including the photography archive, is at seangarschi.com.

What I write

I write the research on our resources page. The recurring project scans real company websites to find out whether AI assistants can read them: 640 sites across every industry, then 140 SaaS sites, 100 fintech, 100 crypto, 100 healthcare, 100 online stores, and 100 AI companies. A separate test asked whether llms.txt actually works.

The guides cover the questions clients ask on the first call: how to choose a growth marketing agency, how to get ChatGPT to recommend your business, how to market a crypto company, whether Google reviews help SEO, what the embedded model is, what a clipping marketplace is, and how the clipping platforms compare.
